Lāhainā Harbor

PacWhale Eco-Adventures recognizes the reopening of Lāhainā Harbor as an important milestone in Maui’s recovery following the 2023 wildfires that deeply impacted the Lāhainā community.

After thoughtful evaluation we will be resuming operations out of Lāhainā Harbor beginning summer of 2026. This decision reflects both the opportunity to contribute to Lāhainā’s economic recovery and the need to sustain Pacific Whale Foundation’s mission, which supports ocean conservation, education, outreach, and research across Maui.

Our return to Lāhainā is deeply meaningful to our organization. It’s where we first began operations over 40 years ago and has long been home to our staff, partners, and local businesses, who have shown incredible strength and resilience in recent years. Throughout and following the fires, our team remained actively engaged in relief and recovery efforts, and we will continue to approach our operations in Lāhainā with care for the community, our staff, and the environment. We also invite our guests to join us in showing that same care and respect-being mindful of the community, local businesses, and the significance of Lāhainā as it continues to recover.
