Tour Overview

Step aboard a spacious sailing catamaran for a Maui whale watch sail, guided by our certified marine naturalists—the most experienced whale watching team in Hawaiʻi. 

During humpback whale season, the waters surrounding Maui Nui become a gathering place for Hawaiʻi’s most iconic seasonal visitors. Throughout your experience, our naturalists share expert interpretation on whale behavior, migration, and biology, drawing on decades of research and field experience in these waters. 

We sail when conditions allow, and adjust our approach as needed to ensure safe and responsible wildlife viewing. 

Departures are available from both Māʻalaea Harbor and Lāhainā Harbor. 

As part of your experience, you are also supporting ocean conservation, research, and education programs here in Maui through our nonprofit work—helping protect the whales and ocean ecosystems you came to experience.

Safety Tips

  • Guests need to use hand railings and step carefully when entering and exiting vessel on gangway.
  • No standing up on benches or chairs.
  • No sitting on hand railings, tables, counters or chair backs.
  • No smoking or vaping of any substance.
  • No children on shoulders.
  • Always keep a free hand for a railing or other fixed part of the boat, never carry more than can be taken in one hand.
  • Stay hydrated.
  • Wear low or flat-soled shoes.
