Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime family adventure, where sun, sea, and stunning sunsets come together for the perfect day on the water! Whether you’re snorkeling, whale watching, or simply soaking in the views, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Start the adventure with a snorkel in Maui’s crystal-clear leeward waters, where you might find yourself swimming alongside sea turtles, vibrant tropical fish, and colorful coral reefs. With a marine naturalist onboard, you’ll learn fascinating facts about the ocean and the incredible marine life you’ll encounter.

But that’s not all—get ready for one of Maui’s most magical experiences: whale watching! During whale season, you’ll have the unforgettable opportunity to witness humpback whales breaching, tail-slapping, and playing in the warm Hawaiian waters. There’s nothing quite like seeing these gentle giants up close, and our naturalist will share incredible insights into their behaviors and migration patterns.

After exploring the underwater world, cool off and have a blast with our waterslide, adding an extra splash of fun for the whole family. As the day winds down, we’ll set sail into the horizon, where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy breathtaking views of Maui’s coastline as the sun begins to dip below the water.

Just a Fluke
Humpback whales are wild, and we never chase or crowd them to get a sighting. Our crew follows responsible viewing guidelines, so every encounter happens on the whales’ terms. If we don’t see a whale on your trip, our Just a Fluke program invites you back for a free whale watch of equal or lesser value, anytime within one year. If your original trip was a sunset or dinner cruise, your Just a Fluke return trip will be a Classic Whale Watch.

  • This vessel carries two restrooms and a shower for your comfort.
  • Meal grilled onboard: Crudite with hummus and Green Goddess dressing, free range chicken, kiawe-smoked pork with guava BBQ sauce, vegan burgers, all beef hot dogs, local style potato mac salad, Asian edamame slaw, and dessert of cookies and strawberries.

Safety Tips

Snorkeling Safety Tips

  • Always snorkel with a buddy.
  • If you can’t swim, don’t snorkel.
  • Use a noodle and life jacket.
  • Choose a snorkel with a wide opening and no constrictions in the mouthpiece.
  • Join our captain for snorkeling 101 before getting into the water.
  • Learn to use the snorkel device before venturing out.
  • If you feel shortness of breath, stay calm, remove the snorkel and get out of the water immediately.
  • Discuss any medical conditions with the crew and if you are under a doctors care or have had cardiac health issues, respiratory health issues, high blood pressure, mobility challenges, consult with a healthcare professional before snorkeling.
  • For safety reasons, the use of full-face masks is not permitted on our snorkel ecotours. We do provide high quality snorkel gear on board for all guests. Learn more.

Vessel Safety Tips

  • Guests need to use hand railings and step carefully when entering and exiting vessel on gangway.
  • No standing up on benches or chairs.
  • No sitting on hand railings, tables, counters or chair backs.
  • No smoking or vaping of any substance.
  • No children on shoulders.
  • Always keep a free hand for a railing or other fixed part of the boat, never carry more than can be taken in one hand.
  • Stay hydrated.
  • Wear low or flat-soled shoes.
